this video sparked some interactions - and we tried to have a voice chat, but there's very, very little signal where she lives -

This video is a good example of how difficult it is, for me, to translate the figurative poetic insights into literal, linear, sequencial writings.

but I'm getting there, in some form.

My views, are grounded in my imagination.

I happen to have images in mind, which are like memories, of the birth of consciousness.

The first poem in the faerietale that I wrote, describes the birth of Light from Creatrix - and this idea flies in the face of all the Religions which see "God-Light" as Prime Creator, which, for me is as silly as Thinking that numbers begin with 1, negating and ignoring 0, as if No-Thing has no consciousness or meaning, no Agency, and no imaginition.

For me, the realm of Spirits is all very real, conceptually - I find it hard to imagine how people generally, can't "see" the invisible, and act as if the invisible is not present, denying the very idea of souls, even though these same people may "believe" in souls.

Joscha Bach, far from seeing consciousness, and all, as being in the brain, sees things very clearly, in terms of philosophy, that this physical world is simulated in the brain - sub he sees there being "spirits" {as in animism, from before the enlightenment-model of the world focused entirely on the physics} which hold the intelligence which implements {makes real, embodies} the forms - of flowers, plants, animals, humans, landscapes, mountains, and minerals etc

These "spirits", we can now describe, more accurately, as doing what software does, holding the blue-print which enacts what the code invokes.

you gotta get your head around this guy !

I know of no other who is like him, for his ability to explain his own unique view of things, from such a multitude of disaplines that he has studied.

I only came across a video of him back in early december '24, in a rather nice interview - but he also has videos where he straight-forward presents his own mind-model of the attempts of science to make sense of "life", where he is true to the initial ideas and expectations of what computer's would be able to do, given time, that he had as a child.

He's a wealth of unexpected unique-views, on such a wide range of previous dogmas - for example, there a couple of interviews, where he's asked to explain his idea of what the 7 days of creation Story is actually about - which apart from my own re-imaginings of that, what he describes is such a blast of fresh air, into those most-stuck-shut libraries of Big-Bang Bull manure ... ;)

I'd like to give links, timestamped to the specific bits that would convey the core insights, but, I've been listening to a lot of him, alongside Michael Levin, whom I also hadn't heard of til early December, as well as making sense of my own revelations, and the kinds of algorithmic reflections that my screen keeps suggesting -

Bach explains how we project this "reality tunnel", individually, acting "as if" we were "real" individual persons, self-identified, perceiving ourselves as being perceiving - and he explains it better than I can, though within the relatively narrow scope of science, through his knowledges of computation, biology and physics, as well as how his personality processes information in a quite unique manner and grammer.

I've been listening to this, today - I've copied the link at a good point in the video, that skips some chat, but gives a good introduction to his ability to communicate, with such patience, with people who are somewhat stuck in anti-tech, and psycho-spiritual-magical thinking
